To the One in My Dreams
What can I say but thank you and I’m sorry,
The journeys you’ve walked, the heights you’ve flown, the hells you’ve burned in,
Warm afternoons over glistening lakes of cherished days,
Black nights in houses with no escape,
Friends and foes turned by the nature of a moment,
Calamity and serenity, storms and soft touches by a lover I don’t deserve,
The woman of my life and dreams, a beating heart all your own,
Tied together at the veins, sewn through worlds,
I pray that we walk many more moons and suns, and when those heavenly bodies fall,
That we walk on again.
